Industry association Bitkom has forecast declining sales of conventional navigation systems. After 4.3 million units sold last year, this number might decrease to 4.2 million devices, thus representing a shrinking market for the first time in years. Mobile phones which can now be used as navigation systems are deemed to be the major factor contributing to this recent trend.
